PM SHRI Schools

    We continue to build an education system for the future, it is critical that the school ecosystem is resilient in the face of an increasingly unpredictable, dynamic and non-linear world. The PM SHRI schools in KVS Varanasi Region are designed to achieve it. These schools help showcase the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and have emerged as exemplar schools.     The above schools have been incentivized to yield results and perform better through a funding mechanism that is tracked through quality parameters.

    1. A decentralized administration strategy is being followed to ensure the effective implementation of the scheme.

A separate portal to monitor the literal implementation of the scheme has been dedicated with the effect to ensure that no such schools are left behind and advance ahead to be the educational and vocational hub in their vicinity. The PM SHRI Schools are focusing on the following aspects of school education and community service:

    5. These schools are providing leadership in their respective regions in providing high-quality education in an equitable.
    6. Linkage with Sector Skill Councils and local industry for enhancing employability and providing better employment opportunities.
      These schools are acting as a network of exemplar schools that demonstrate excellence and act as belief, practices and knowledge centers for the entire learning ecosystem.
    7. For providing equitable and quality education from the Foundational Stage to Grade 12 to all children up to the age of 18, suitable facilitating systems is being put in place.
      These schools emerging as leaders in education and offer guidance to neighborhood schools to achieve the benchmarks of PM SHRI schools over time.
    8. These schools are being aligned with the requirements for the emerging economy as per Industrial Revolution 4.0.
    9. Regular visits in the PM SHRI Schools by other schools in the district/block/cluster or nearby sub-locality are being encouraged to motivate them to adopt the interventions and become exemplar schools themselves.

These schools are being developed as Green Schools incorporating environment friendly aspects like energy efficient using solar panels and LED lightings, nutrition gardens with natural farming, waste management, plastic-free, water conservation and harvesting, study of traditions/practices related to protection of the environment, climate change related hackathons and awareness generation to incorporate organic lifestyle.

    PM SHRI schools are setting examples for the best in class in the country. The education in these schools is such that it will nurture lifelong learners who carry the acumen and desire to learn, unlearn and relearn at all spectrums of life to become engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society as envisaged by the National Education Policy 2020.
